MPI filmmaker R.J. Daniel Hanna, director of the award-winning MPI Original Film Miss Virginia, will take part in a special webinar hosted by Music for Liberty on December 10. Dan will be joined by Little Pink House director Courtney Balaker for a discussion on the role music played in bringing their feature films to fruition and the practicalities of creating a feature film with liberty at the core.

The discussion will be moderated by Scott McRae and Ryan Rapsys, the composing team behind Music for Liberty, a liberty-focused multimedia music company that provides music services for films, web series, and advertisements. Between the pair, their musical skills have been utilized in over 100 films and TV series, including The Fate of the Furious, Charlie’s Angels, Dateline NBC, Crazy Rich Asians, The Today Show, and the MPI Original Films Gringa and The Perfect One.

The event is free to attend, but you must register here.

Based on a true story, Miss Virginia stars Emmy-winner Uzo Aduba as a struggling single mother who is losing her teenaged son to the rough streets of Washington, DC. Unwilling to see him drop out and deal drugs, she puts him in a private school. But when she can’t afford tuition, she launches a movement to change the system that is destroying him and thousands like him.
