Kemba is set to screen as an official selection at film festivals across the country this November.
As previously announced, the MPI Original and BET Original film will have its world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival Wednesday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m. A reception precedes the Florida screening at 6:30 p.m. with live music by Feminafrika. A special Q&A will take place after the screening featuring the film’s subject and executive producer Kemba Smith Pradia and the director, Kelley Kali. (Purchase tickets here.)
The film will next screen at the Black Harvest Film Festival Thursday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. with an encore screening Saturday, November 11, at 2:00 p.m. (Purchase tickets here.) Followed by a screening on Sunday, November 12, at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Louis International Film Festival. (Purchase tickets here.) These events will all include post-screening conversations with Kemba, Kelley, and producer Lana Link.
