MPI Original Films had its pre-release screening of Kemba to a packed audience at SVA Theatre in New York City last night. Award-winning editor Cori Murray moderated an engaging and heartfelt panel afterward featuring Kemba Smith Pradia the subject and executive producer of the film, cast members Nesta Cooper (Apple TV+ series See) who played Kemba, Siddiq Saunderson (Wu-Tang: An American Saga) who played Kalif, and Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard) who played Kemba’s mom. Former LDF president Elaine Jones, Kemba director Kelley Kali, Kemba’s parents Gus and Odessa Smith, and Rob Pfaltzgraff also field questions following the film.
