The MPI Original feature film Freedom Hair has been chosen as the closing night film of the Black Film Summit this Saturday in Naperville, Illinois. 

In attendance at the screening will be executive producer Melony Armstrong, whose life inspired the film. In Freedom Hair a determined mother decides to start a natural hair braiding business to achieve financial independence, but she must overcome unexpected obstacles imposed by a powerful cosmetology cartel and the state of Mississippi.
