Congratulations to casting director Alexa Pereira whose work on the MPI Original Series We’re Doing Good was honored with an Artios Award for excellence in casting for a short form series. The Artios Awards are presented by the Casting Society of America and honor the creativity and contributions of casting professionals.

The series was nominated amongst an impressive list of fellow nominees, including projects from Disney+ and ROKU.

We’re Doing Good stars Emily Pendergast (HBO’s Veep) and Jonathan Braylock (Netflix’s Astronomy Club) as a young couple aspiring to “do good” in the world. But despite their best efforts, they fail humorously and spectacularly at every turn often harming the very causes they are trying to help. The series was written and directed by MPI filmmaker Elvira Ibragimova who developed the idea in an MPI comedy screenwriting workshop.

We’re Doing Good had its world premiere at the renowned South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival alongside other impressive episodic content from major studios. The series has gone on to screen at festivals around the country including the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, California, and the Broad Humor Film Festival where it won Best Web Series. It also won the Caz Matthews Prize and Best Actress at SeriesFest in Denver and was an Honoree in the Webby Awards’ Comedy Video category.

Binge the series this weekend at WereDoingGoodSeries.com!
