MPI’s mentorship program has launched me into some of the most formative creative work experiences I could have hoped for! With an ambitious, collaborative community supporting me, I’m grateful to receive this generous investment in my career and continue to enjoy the relationships from the program.
Overview
The MPI Mentorship Program pairs up-and-coming talent—many of them recent MPI interns—with experienced professionals, giving mentees a rare chance to gain valuable industry insight tailored to their unique circumstances.
The program helps participants sharpen their career vision, set actionable goals, and stay true to their values as they navigate the entertainment industry. The aim is to foster meaningful relationships that offer both guidance and practical support as these filmmakers advance in their careers.
Each year, selected participants begin the program with a multi-day summit that brings together mentees and their advisors, providing an informal setting for meaningful conversations, reflection, advice-sharing, and goal-setting. Following the summit, the MPI Mentorship Program shifts to a virtual format with mentees and their mentors connecting at least once a month over Zoom or in person. Each month, MPI sends a new book—centered on the film industry or pro-freedom ideas—that mentors and mentees actively discuss during their sessions.

HOW TO APPLY
Admittance to this program is by invitation only and is primarily extended to alumni of MPI’s Hollywood Career Launch Program, our long-standing internship initiative.
