The MPI Original comedy series We’re Doing Good was recently named as a recipient of the Caz Matthews Fund financial award. Each year philanthropist Caz Matthews personally selects a handful of outstanding projects screened at SeriesFest to receive an unsolicited grant in support of their project. 

According to the SeriesFest site, Ms. Matthews “seeks to identify and financially support independent filmmakers who have important stories to tell and the desire to both create work as well as find distribution opportunities that further promote tolerance, acceptance, and understanding of all cultures and persons in the general population.” Each year, she specifically funds creative projects that focus on diversity and inclusion stories, as well as diversity within the filmmaking team.
