ABOUT THE SERIES

The MPI Original Series We’re Doing Good stars Emily Pendergast (Veep) and Jonathan Braylock (Astronomy Club) who, after a move to Los Angeles, vow to be one of “those couples”—the ones you see buying organic soap, donating to the correct charities, posting flawless volunteer selfies; the ones who are always making the world a better place. However, despite their best efforts, they fail humorously and spectacularly at every turn often harming the very causes they are trying to help.

We’re Doing Good was written and directed by MPI filmmaker Elvira Ibragimova, who developed the concept in MPI’s Comedy Workshop. The first episode of the series had its world premiere in March as an official selection at the renowned South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival and most recently screened the first two episodes at SeriesFest, the preeminent festival for episodic storytelling, where it won “Best Performance in a Digital Series” and the Caz Matthews Fund prize.
