The MPI Original short The Art of Inflation recently won Best Short Film at the Sedona International Film Festival, one of the nation’s premier celebrations of independent cinema, highlighting the growing recognition of MPI films on the festival circuit.

The film also took home three awards at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema in California—praised by The Hollywood Reporter as “the greatest little film festival on earth”—including Best Sound Design, the Juan Ruiz Anchia Award for Best Cinematography, and the Indie Spirit Award.

At the same festival, the MPI Original documentary short Remnants earned five awards, including Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Sound Design, the Juan Ruiz Anchia Award for Best Cinematography, and the Indie Spirit Award. The MPI Original short Grind received three Vanguard Awards, while Shoot, Shovel, and Shut Up was honored with an Indie Spirit Award.

Meanwhile, the MPI Original short The One-Minute Problem, written and directed by MPI filmmaker Nick Delgado, had its world premiere as an official selection at the Festival de Cine de Málaga in Spain.

Each of these films was developed through MPI’s Short Film Lab or Documentary Storytelling Workshop and produced in the MPI Production Lab, which also supports festival runs for selected projects. Their continued success on the festival circuit highlights MPI’s commitment to guiding films from early development through production and into the broader festival landscape.
