The MPI Original feature film Pinball and the feature-length documentary Project Home will screen as Official Selections at the Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF) this October. The 31st annual HIFF will be held in Indianapolis, IN and is well known for screening highly anticipated films from around the world.

MPI’s feature narrative Pinball stars Mike Faist (Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story), Crystal Reed (Swamp Thing, Teen Wolf), and Dennis Boutsikaris (Better Call Saul, The Bourne Legacy) and is based on the true story of Roger Sharpe, GQ journalist and real-life pinball wizard, who in 1976 helped overturn New York City’s 35-year ban on pinball.

The documentary Project Home, which will make its world premiere at HIFF, follows the innovators at New Story, Icon, and Habitat for Humanity who are developing communities using 3D printing technology to build houses. The film documents the stories of two single, working mothers who are able to buy their first homes thanks to this innovative technology. One lives in an impoverished village in Mexico where New Story and Icon are building a community of 3D printed houses, and the other lives in Virginia where Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring her new home. The film shows how community, entrepreneurship, and innovation can transform the housing sector.
