MPI’s Rising Filmmaker Program kicked off its 2023 Directing Workshop with an in-person Directing Actors Summit held at The Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles, California, over two days June 21 and 22 with expert director Adrienne Weiss.

The Directing Workshop continues virtually on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (PT) from June 28 through August 16 with speakers like Toby Fell-Holden, Christina Lazaridi, Helen Gladders, Inga Diev, and Nick Reid covering topics such as Visually Expressive Directing, Visual Storytelling, a Director’s Preparation for Production, Film Distribution, and Film Budgeting. The workshop also includes one-on-one guidance from MPI’s senior vice president and producer, Lana Link, and Toby Fell-Holden.
