Nicole Serrato, a 2019 MPI intern, recently had her Academy Gold Spotlight featured in The Hollywood Reporter. The video showcases her experience in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Academy Gold summer internship program, which MPI selected her to participate in last year as a part of her MPI internship at Millennium Films.

This opportunity provided Nicole even more connections in the industry. “Access to the industry’s top leaders in all departments has proven to be invaluable, and the connections I made with my peers created a support system of like-minded individuals who are all interested in different facets of the industry,” she says.

Nicole was so outstanding that she was chosen to deliver the Academy Gold Program graduation speech at the close of the summer. “After many conversations with my peers over the summer, I realized we all had one goal in mind, we all overcame a challenge to participate in the Academy Gold Program, and we all needed each other to win.”

MPI’s Hollywood Career Launch Program provides the opportunity for select MPI interns like Nicole to participate in this elite program. The Academy‘s eight-week program gives participants exclusive access to Academy members, screenings, educational programs, and countless career advancement opportunities.

“I’ve already started to recommend friends and associates that share MPI’s values and beliefs, and I will continue to do so!” said Nicole of her MPI internship experience.
