As reported in Deadline, MPI filmmaker R. J. Daniel Hanna has started production on his next feature film Hard Miles, which he co-wrote and is directing. For the film, Dan is teaming up again with actor Matthew Modine (Stranger Things, Full Metal Jacket), who he previously directed in the critically-acclaimed MPI Original feature film Miss Virginia.

Hard Miles is inspired by the true story of Coach Greg Townsend (played by Modine) and his Ridge View Academy cycling team. The film follows Townsend’s journey as he leads a cycling team of young teenage convicts on a transformative 1000-mile ride.

To assist with the production, MPI has placed an intern on set through its Hollywood Career Launch Program.
