MPI returns to the Sundance Film Festival this year, with select MPI filmmakers attending our Advanced Filmmaker Summit from January 26–31. This program offers participants opportunities to attend early screenings of acclaimed films, engage with leading directors, actors, and producers in Q&A sessions, and connect with future collaborators.

Additionally, MPI senior vice president Lana Link and MPI filmmakers Elizabeth Mirzaei and Kiera Williams have been named Windrider Institute Fellows and will participate in this year’s Windrider Summit. During the event, the MPI Original feature film Freedom Hair will receive the Amplify Award. Melony Armstrong, the film’s subject and executive producer, will accept the award and participate in a Q&A discussion.
