The MPI Original feature Motherland recently earned top honors at two film festivals. At the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology in Oregon, the film won Best Feature and received the Silver Award for Best Director (Evan Matthews). Motherland also took home the Best Feature award at the SModcastle Film Festival in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. 

With multiple awards across prestigious festivals, Motherland is already building an impressive track record ahead of its release. The film will debut in North America on September 12, premiering in select theaters and on major on-demand platforms. Distribution partner Vertical will focus on VOD and AVOD, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play. The United Kingdom VOD release will follow on September 15.
