Over the weekend the MPI Original and BET Original Film Kemba screened as an official selection at the Virginia Black Film Festival, where it was awarded Best of Festival. 

Kemba is a story that revolves around Hampton University, and we were honored to bring this impactful film to the campus. Executive Producer and subject of the film, Kemba Smith Pradia, attended the screening and participated in a discussion following the film. US Representative Bobby Scott, who is portrayed in the film and played a large role in Kemba’s clemency campaign, was also on hand and gave brief remarks.
