Kemba director Kelley Kali and executive producer Kemba Smith Pradia were recently honored with the Amplify Award from Windrider Studios during the Sundance Film Festival. This distinguished honor is given annually to filmmakers whose work amplifies the voices and perspectives of the BIPOC community with films that serve to teach about history, resiliency, and the power of story. Kelley and Kemba also joined MPI senior vice president and producer Lana Link at the event for an informative panel discussion on how the film team worked together to adapt Kemba’s story for the screen.
