Twenty-three members of MPI’s Los Angeles filmmaker community came out to support fellow MPI filmmaker Caroline Friend at the Los Angeles premiere of her MPI Original short Poisoned Skies at the 22nd annual Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival. Written and directed by Caroline and starring Julia Goldani Telles (The Affair, Bunheads), the film follows an ambitious scientist in 1954 who becomes the target of a mining company linked to a deadly smog disaster. MPI filmmakers also connected through the MPI Film Club, with members of our Los Angeles network attending Sublime Primetime at the Writers Guild Theater.
