“I LEARNED THINGS I WOULD NOT HAVE HEARD ANYWHERE ELSE.”

In March, nearly 30 young creatives from around the world joined the Moving Picture Institute and FEE in Los Angeles for our fourth annual Filmmaking and Entrepreneurship Seminar. Aspiring filmmakers learned that they can make a living, and even change the world, by creating art.

Learning directly from professional filmmakers in the Moving Picture Institute network, attendees explored how to break into the industry, make the most of their first Hollywood jobs, find and market to film audiences, and more. Though the seminar largely took place at the Moving Picture Institute’s West Los Angeles office, attendees also enjoyed a studio tour and an off-site screening night of the Moving Picture Institute’s short films.

Here’s what our attendees had to say:

I traveled all the way from Ecuador for this seminar, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I really loved discussing filmmaking with professionals in the filmmaking community. That’s an opportunity I didn’t get elsewhere, even in film school.
