The MPI Original documentary short A Clean Slate has been nominated for Best Short Documentary at the BronzeLens Film Festival. The film will have its world premiere at the Oscar-qualifying festival in Atlanta, Georgia on August 23, 2023.

A Clean Slate was developed by MPI filmmaker Trần Hoàng Calvin in MPI’s 2021 Documentary Production Lab. The film documents Shanyeill McCloud’s work with Clean Slate Milwaukee, a nonprofit she founded in 2012 which helps formerly incarcerated people expunge their records and start their lives again.
