The first three episodes of the MPI Original Series We’re Doing Good will screen over Labor Day Weekend at the Broad Humor Film Festival

Held in Los Angeles, CA, Broad Humor is dedicated to comedic films written and directed by women. Begun in 2005, the festival brings together female writers and directors in an effort to foster greater opportunity for women as creators of film content. Broad Humor was previously named one of the top five festivals for women by MovieMaker magazine.

We’re Doing Good stars Emily Pendergast (HBO’s Veep) and Jonathan Braylock (Netflix’s Astronomy Club) as a young millennial couple that is aspiring to “do good” in the world. Despite their best efforts, however, they fail humorously and spectacularly at every turn often harming the very causes they are trying to help. MPI filmmaker Elvira Ibragmiova wrote and directed this five episode series, which she originally developed in MPI’s Comedy Workshop.

The series enjoyed its world premiere at the prestigious South by Southwest Film Festival and will soon screen at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA alongside the MPI Original Film Melons.
