In a recent interview with “The Curvy Critic,” Uzo Aduba (Mrs. America, Orange Is the New Black) discusses her experience shooting the MPI Original film Miss Virginia.

Uzo reflects on the first time she met the real-life “Miss Virginia,” Virginia Walden Ford. “She had a quiet voice but, but you knew she was someone you didn’t want to mess with. You knew she was powerful, you knew she was strong.” 

She also discusses the film’s amazing cast including Amirah Vann (How to Get Away with Murder) and Aunjanue Ellis (When They See Us).

“It was wonderful being with these immense talents, these wonderful spirits, and to tell a story of hope and progress,” says Uzo.
