Join us for a special screening of Kemba, the award-winning MPI and BET Original film, at the USC School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) on Tuesday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. This powerful film sheds light on the devastating impact of mandatory minimum sentencing. Seating is first come, first served, so be sure to register in advance.

Following the screening, stay for a conversation with the film’s subject and executive producer Kemba Smith Pradia; director and SCA alum Kelley Kali; Michelle West, whose story is also portrayed in the film; and MPI’s senior vice president Lana Link. The panel will explore how Kemba helped bring national attention to these true cases of injustice—and how the film played a role in the clemency granted to Michelle on President Biden’s final day in office.

Can’t make it in person? Kemba is streaming exclusively on BET+. Click here to start your free seven-day trial and watch now.
