MPI is excited to announce that we have added the Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge (CFC) to our Rising Filmmaker Program. CFC is a decades-old competition designed to encourage networking and collaboration among participants. Founded and run by friend of MPI Joe Gressis, CFC always earns rave reviews from its participants.

We will kick off the filmmaking challenge on May 16 at an event in Los Angeles where we will unveil this year’s theme. From there participants will have two weeks (May 17–31) to collaborate with other filmmakers to produce short films. CFC culminates June 9 when the strongest entries will screen to a packed house of industry professionals and judges, including MPI senior vice president Lana Link and The Bragg Brothers (the writers/directors of MPI Original Film Pinball).

This year CFC will hand out over $20,000 in cash and prizes including a $5,000 development deal with Shout! Factory.

Not in Los Angeles? No problem! Filmmakers are eligible to participate from any locale.  Members of MPI’s filmmaker network are eligible to receive a discount on the registration fee. For more information, please email [email protected].
