The MPI Original short film Pocket Change will screen as an official selection at the Grand Rapids Comic-Con Film Festival on Saturday, November 15, at 1:00 p.m. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The festival is a standout showcase within one of the Midwest’s largest pop culture conventions, celebrating independent filmmakers who bring imagination and genre storytelling to life on the big screen.

Starring Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under, Planet Terror, Poseidon) and written and directed by MPI filmmakers Heston Roewe and Tanner Mobley, Pocket Change tells the story of a mysterious drifter and his seemingly worthless quarter that may hold the key to saving a group of strangers from a deadly threat when the power goes out at a remote roadside diner.
