The MPI Original short film Pocket Change has been honored with a nomination for Best Ensemble Cast at FilmQuest and will screen as part of the festival’s official selection on Sunday, October 26, at 1:30 p.m. in Provo, Utah. Widely regarded as one of the top showcases for genre filmmaking, FilmQuest—named by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “50 Best Genre Fests”—is known for its exceptional lineup of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and groundbreaking independent films.

Starring Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under, Planet Terror, Poseidon) and written and directed by MPI filmmakers Heston Roewe and Tanner Mobley, Pocket Change tells the story of a mysterious drifter and his seemingly worthless quarter that may hold the key to saving a group of strangers from a deadly threat when the power goes out at a remote roadside diner.
