Call up your friends! Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game is now available to stream on all your favorite platforms like Apple TV and Google Play.
Starring Mike Faist (Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story), Crystal Reed (Swamp Thing, Teen Wolf), and Dennis Boutsikaris (Better Call Saul, The Bourne Legacy), Pinball is based on the true story of Roger Sharpe, GQ journalist and real-life pinball wizard, who in 1976 helped overturn New York City’s 35-year ban on pinball. In the film, pinball becomes a symbol for how the government imposes on people’s lives and happiness—through prohibitions and misguided regulations.
Pinball is “certified fresh” on the film review website RottenTomatoes.com.
And if you read only one review, check out this one from the New Yorker where Pinball is called “a remedy for your post-Oscar hangover.”
In the article, top film critic Richard Brody elaborates:
“I’d recommend not scrutinizing “Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game” too closely or too promptly, and simply savoring the unusual spectrum of artistic virtues that I found myself admiring—and admiring again, on a second viewing, purely for pleasure.”
“…it feels apt that “Pinball” is coming out in the week following the woeful Oscars—it’s better than all ten of the Best Picture nominees, and 2023 will be a fine year in movies if there are five better lead performances than Faist’s or five better original screenplays.”
Gather your family and friends to watch Pinball this weekend and let us know your review.
