We’re excited to highlight some recent achievements from our MPI filmmaker network. Last year, Timothy Blackwood, director of the award-winning MPI Original short Infraction, participated in MPI’s two-week filmmaker challenge with his comedy short Badmouth Grandma, where he won the Rookie of the Year award. Since then, the film has been making waves on the festival circuit, receiving 18 selections and taking home three prestigious awards.

Many members of the MPI filmmaker community contributed to this project, including Heston Roewe, who earned Best Editing honors at the Central Coast International Film Festival for his outstanding work on the film. It’s great to see Badmouth Grandma continuing to resonate with audiences and gain recognition for its creativity and craftsmanship.
