The MPI Original feature Motherland will screen at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, on Monday, November 17, at 7 p.m. Admission is free—reserve your spot here.

Directed by Evan Matthews and written by Nicole Roewe (née Swinford), Motherland imagines an alternate present in which the state relieves parents of the responsibility of raising their children—until one rule enforcer uncovers a startling truth that ignites her defiance. Following the screening, Evan and MPI’s vice president of philanthropic investments, Joseph Corey, will join audiences for a Q&A discussion.

The film stars Tony Award winner Miriam Silverman (Your Neighbors and Friends, Landman), legendary Emmy winner Holland Taylor (The Morning Show, Hollywood), Emmy Award winner Néstor Carbonell (Shōgun, The Morning Show), and rising star Emily Arancio.

You can watch Motherland on your favorite streaming platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play.
