The MPI Original short The One-Minute Problem will screen at the Chattanooga Film Festival’s virtual program through June 27 at 11:59 p.m. Widely regarded as a leading destination for independent genre cinema, the festival has been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the top festivals in the world for science fiction, fantasy, and other genre films. The festival will also host a dedicated Discord watch party on June 27 at 1 p.m., giving audiences the opportunity to watch The One-Minute Problem alongside fellow festivalgoers and participate in a live chat.
Developed through MPI’s Short Film Lab and produced through the MPI Production Lab, The One-Minute Problem follows a young scientist on the verge of inventing teleportation. As he races to complete his breakthrough and reunite with his family, he must contend with an overzealous Department of Water and Power bureaucrat determined to shut his project down.
