The MPI Original short Pocket Change will screen on June 27 at 6:15 p.m. at the Interrobang Film Festival as part of the nationally recognized Des Moines Arts Festival, one of the country’s largest arts festivals. Presented as an IMDb-verified, juried film festival, Interrobang brings together independent films from around the world alongside filmmaker panels and audience talkbacks.
Starring Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under, Planet Terror, Poseidon) and written and directed by MPI filmmakers Heston Roewe and Tanner Mobley, Pocket Change centers on a mysterious drifter and his seemingly worthless quarter—an object that may be the key to saving a group of strangers when the power goes out at a remote roadside diner.
