Last week, the MPI Original feature Freedom Hair drew an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 200 attendees at Hope College’s Knickerbocker Theater in downtown Holland, Michigan. This event brought together students, faculty, administrators, and community members, who warmly received the film and responded to its powerful themes.

The evening continued with an engaging Q&A led by executive producer and film subject Melony Armstrong, whose thoughtful responses resonated with attendees. Earlier in the day, she also participated in an economics class and joined a roundtable discussion with Hope College’s Markets and Morality program, further enriching the dialogue on the film’s themes.
