The MPI-supported documentary short The Conqueror is now available to purchase on Vimeo On Demand.

From MPI filmmakers Timothy Blackwood and Bradford Downs, The Conqueror features the uplifting story of boxer Jerome Conquest, who after losing his best friend to street violence at 17, turns to boxing as a way to improve his life and inspire those in his community. 

The short screened at more than 30 film festivals worldwide, winning nine awards including Best Documentary at both the Munich International Film Festival and Oxford International Film Festival.

All proceeds from the film go to The Conqueror Foundation, an organization established by Jerome providing at-risk youth a safe and encouraging environment to exercise, do homework, be mentored, and learn trade skills.
