IN THE WITH THE NEW

2017 has been an exceptional year for the Moving Picture Institute. Thanks to the generosity of our followers, friends, and supporters, MPI’s work has promoted freedom through film online, in classrooms, and in theaters across the country. But there is much more to do in 2018.
 
We have big plans for the new year—plans made possible by your investment in our mission to promote positive, freedom-oriented messages through film and popular culture.

In 2018, we will:

• Expand our support for rising filmmakers with new workshops on documentary storytelling, television pilots, and comedy;
• See We the Internet TV surpass 50 million views;
• Screen 2081 on college campuses, reaching students and challenging them to think about what equality is and how best to achieve it; and
• Launch new MPI original projects on police brutality and identity politics.
