We are pleased to share a behind-the-scenes video shot from the set of the MPI Original short film Infraction.

This short clip features interviews with MPI filmmaker and Infraction’s writer-director Timothy Blackwood, as well as Percy Daggs III (Veronica Mars) who stars in the lead role as “Terrance Lewis,” a wrongly-incarcerated inmate who is the subject of the film. We even hear from the real-life Terrance Lewis, who served as executive producer and was on set to inspire the cast and crew.

In addition to Daggs, the film also stars Kevin Oestenstad (Chicago P.D., CSI: Cyber) and grapples with the timely topics of racial equity and criminal justice reform.

Infraction was shot this summer over four, 12-hour days at a decommissioned prison under difficult conditions in the desert of New Mexico. It is a follow up to Timothy’s award-winning, MPI-supported short documentary The Conqueror

“I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to workshop this script through the Moving Picture Institute’s Short Film Creative Development and Production Lab,” said Timothy. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Terrance, but we also wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the tremendous support of MPI.”
