Encore Screening: ‘Freedom Hair’ // Naples International Film Festival

The MPI Original feature film Freedom Hair will screen as an official selection at the Naples International Film Festival on October 25 at Norris Garden, with an encore screening on October 26 at the Alamo Drafthouse.

Freedom Hair is based on the inspiring, true story of Melony Armstrong, a mother and entrepreneur who decides to start a natural hair braiding business in order to achieve financial independence. However, to realize her dream, she must overcome unexpected obstacles imposed by the state of Mississippi and a powerful cosmetology cartel. The film stars Simona Brown (Netflix’s Behind Her Eyes), Jeremie Harris (Legion, Fargo), Sophia Bush (Good Sam, False Positive), and Erica Tazel (Justified, Roots).
