Screening: ‘Freedom Hair’ // Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival

The MPI Original feature film Freedom Hair will screen as an official selection at the Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival in New York, NY on September 22.

Freedom Hair is based on the inspiring, true story of Armstrong, a mother and entrepreneur who decides to start a natural hair braiding business in order to achieve financial independence. However, to realize her dream, she must overcome unexpected obstacles imposed by the state of Mississippi and a powerful cosmetology cartel. The film stars Simona Brown (Netflix’s Behind Her Eyes), Jeremie Harris (Legion, Fargo), Sophia Bush (Good Sam, False Positive), and Erica Tazel (Justified, Roots).
